Over the last few weeks we’ve shared with you what we’re doing to help during the pandemic, but now we’d like to shine a light on what our stockists are doing too.
We want to celebrate like-minded companies who are going above and beyond to help our health heroes and the vulnerable at this challenging time.
CVS
CVS have launched four Covid-19 testing sites in Rhode Island, Georgia, Massachusetts and Connecticut. These drive-through testing sites offer US workers free testing to confirm whether they have the virus.
Testing is being carried out using the Abbott ID NOW™ COVID-19 test by licensed health care providers from MinuteClinic. Patients receive their results on-site, meaning they can take appropriate action straight away to prevent further spread of the virus.
Earlier this month, CVS donated seasonal Easter treats worth $5 million to local communities to ‘spread happiness and human connection’ during this challenging period.
Among other measures, CVS have also suspended home delivery charges for prescription medications, to prevent patients from having to leave home to pick up their prescription so they can social distance.
SOS Hydration is available in 4,400 CVS locations across the country.
H-E-B
H-E-B launched a community initiative called ‘Texans Helping Texans’ to provide local support during the outbreak. The community care effort includes personal shoppers for the over-60s, a $3 million donation to local non-for-profit organizations supporting vulnerable communities and setting up the #TexansHelpingTexans donation campaign.
H-E-B have also donated 15 truckloads of food and everyday supplies to food banks across Texas to support those in need.
